The aerial work vehicle slewing mechanism is the core component of the aerial work vehicle, which can effectively control the accurate positioning and stability of the working terminal. A full-rotation slewing mechanism is usually used, and the forward and reverse directions can be selected according to the needs of the operation.

The slewing part and the working platform of the early slewing mechanism are both installed on the external gear turntable bearing. The hydraulic motor is used as the power source to drive the pinion, and the turntable is rotated by the engagement of the pinion and the outer gear ring. Due to the adjustment and fixation of the turntable bearing raceway clearance and the gear side clearance during the assembly of the turntable bearing and the pinion, there are many cumulative errors, which cause the shaking of the working terminal in the later stage.

At present, the slewing drive device is generally used as a component of the slewing part. The slewing drive uses a unit assembly of a worm gear structure, which is composed of a base, a worm gear slewing bearing and a worm gear. It has a large reduction ratio, a large torque transmission, and a reverse self-locking performance. There is no need to adjust and fix the gear clearance during installation. The upper and lower flanges are directly connected to the inner and outer ring connection holes. However, ordinary slewing drives still cannot meet the needs of long-arm aerial work vehicles, because the raceway clearance and worm gear tooth side clearance will be magnified by the 30-50m long arm, and the stability of the terminal workbench cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, during processing, the shape of the slewing bearing raceway, the contact angle with the steel ball, and the clearance between the raceway and the rolling element have extremely high requirements. The accuracy of the worm and worm tooth surface and the assembly accuracy, as well as the precision solidification after assembly are all tests for the level of workers.

The axial clearance of the finished product of the aerial work vehicle slewing drive is not more than 0.02mm, and the slewing clearance of the worm gear is not more than 0.1mm. The accurate contact angle between the slewing bearing raceway and the steel ball is the key to ensuring the accuracy and life of the slewing drive. The accuracy and life of the product are the guarantee of the stability of the aerial work vehicle operation terminal.
