If there are no special requirements for the slewing bearing material, 50Mn normalizing or 42CrMo modulation will be selected. For toothed rings, it is recommended to select 42CrMo Q+T material.

When required, hardened steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, ceramics or nylon are available to suit special applications.

The rolling elements are usually made of 100Cr6, stainless steel or ceramic, nylon, etc., and are separated by nylon or brass spacers or steel or plastic cages.

The standard sealing strip is nitrile rubber (NBR). According to actual needs, Fluororubber, low temperature rubber, Hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR), etc. can be used.

LYRA slewing bearings are assembled by hand. Rolling elements and spacers are added through the plugged holes. The location of the blockage is usually in the softened area left during the quenching process of the raceway. This location is marked with the steel prefix "S".

The plug is fixed to the inner or outer ring of the slewing bearing by means of a tapered pin, and a slight modification of the raceway profile limits the load-carrying capacity of this area. Therefore, when installing the slewing bearing, the plugged hole should be located where the stress is minimum.

LYRA slewing bearing can be designed in size and structure according to your specific working conditions.
