Excavator bearings

Excavators play an indispensable role in modern engineering construction. They have a complex structure and each part has a specific function and importance. Among them, the excavator slewing bearing and traveling bearing are its core components, which ensure the efficient and stable operation of the excavator.

The slewing bearing is installed at the connection between the chassis and the frame of the excavator and is a crucial part. This support allows the frame to rotate on top of the chassis. In this configuration, a pinion drives the internal gear slewing bearing. The pinion is controlled by a drive unit, which in turn drives the internal gear. Since the internal gear is directly connected to the slewing bearing, when the pinion rotates, the entire frame is driven by the internal gear to rotate, allowing the excavator to flexibly change direction during operation and improve work efficiency.

The traveling bearing is an important component installed inside the traveling planetary gearbox of the excavator. This kind of bearing is usually a large thrust angular contact bearing. Its design allows the bearing to bear large radial and axial loads, and is especially suitable for working environments with heavy loads and complex terrain. The main function of the traveling bearing is to withstand and transmit the huge thrust and traction force generated by the excavator during traveling. It is these bearings that ensure the stable operation of the excavator.
